Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) is on a roll. This is his third goal in three matches.

Lee rattled the Singapore net. He scored his fifth goal of the tournament in a 5-0 Group C win over Singapore in the second Asian qualifier for the FIFA Confederations Cup North America 2026 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The goal capped a three-match scoring drought for Lee, who scored his debut against Tunisia in October in an A-match friendly. In addition to his goals and assists, Lee has been on fire lately with four goals and two assists in his last three A-Match matches.

Once again, Lee warmed up with an assist. In the 44th minute, he saw Cho Kyu-sung (Meatwillan) penetrate into the box and exquisitely passed to Munjeon. Cho was like a courier as he only needed to put his foot on Lee’s pass. It gave South Korea their long-awaited first goal, and they capitalized on Young’s off-balance to complete the 5-0 rout.

For Lee Kang-in, it was an unlikely assist. Lee worked hard to get the ball into the box. Even through gaps in the defense, he made accurate connections to attackers such as Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) and Cho Kyu-sung. It was Lee’s toe that first opened the Singapore goal. In the 22nd minute, he played a transition pass from the right side to Cho Kyu-sung in front of the opposite goal. Cho placed the ball precisely on the head and Lee Jae-sung (Mainz) rushed in to slot home.

The assistant referee raised his flag. The position of Cho Kyu-sung was offside when Lee Kang-in sent in the cross, but on the slow picture there was no downside. However, there is no video assistant referee (VAR) in the second round of World Cup qualifying, so the incorrect call had to be overturned.

Lee didn’t stop. He continued to work hard, as if he wanted to show his offense again with his crosses. In the 28th minute, he delivered a cross that led to a threatening header from Lee Jae-sung. Unfortunately, it went straight at the keeper, but Lee’s kicks were getting sharper and sharper. 보스토토

Eventually, Lee Kang-in assisted with a cross. Lee continued to be active in the second half, and before the end of the game, he rattled the net with a powerful mid-range shot to continue his A-Match scoring streak.
