Songdo Go’s new captain Bang Sung-in has promised 2024.
On Nov. 19, Songdo won 88-65 against Whimungo in the boys’ high school quarterfinals of the 53rd Autumn National Men’s and Women’s Secondary Basketball League Haenam Tournament at Usul Gymnasium in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
Songdo harassed their opponents throughout the game with strong pressure and quick offense. At the center of it all was SongdoGo captain Bang Sung-in, who led his team to victory with 26 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in 40 minutes.
“Our team is small in height,” said captain Bang Sung-in. So we prepared for strong pressure, tight defense, and fast breaks. We prepared for the tournament according to our colors, Songdo Go Basketball colors,” he said.
“Our defense was good in this game as well. That’s why we were able to win. I’m satisfied,” he added.
Songdo prepared for the tournament centered on its second-year players. They also elected a new captain early on. For Bang Sung-in, the responsibility was added.
“I think the captain has to lead the team but also support them. I’m going to be bitter and say things that my teammates don’t want to hear, even if it looks bad. It’s not my style, but as the captain, I’m trying to pay attention to things that the coach can’t.”바카라사이트
Due to the nature of the secondary basketball tournament, where many games are played in a short period of time, the players’ physical condition is noticeable in the second half of the tournament.
“It’s not over yet, but the goal is the final,” said Bang Sung-in. “We had a break when we came up as runners-up. The coach did a good job of managing our physical condition, and we were able to play to the end without much effort.” “Next year, we plan to showcase Songdo Go basketball, which is not much different from this tournament. We’ll play our brand of basketball where we play strong defense, make it difficult for the opponent’s offense, and get a lot of fast breaks.”
