Kang Dong-gung (SK Rent-a-Car Direct) came from behind to defeat Wing Deok An-chien (Hi One Resort Winners) in straight sets 3:1 (10:15, 15:1, 15:10, 15:10) in the Round of 128 of the Eswai PBA Championship, the fourth game of the 23/24 Season, at the Kintex PBA Dedicated Arena in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on Friday.

In the first set, Kang Dong-gung led 10:8 in the ninth game before losing 10:15. However, Kang Donggung took the second set with a high run of 7 points to win 15:11 and level the set at 1:1.

After winning the third set, Kang Dong-gung continued to dominate the fourth set, winning 15:10 in seven games to advance to the round of 64.

Ma Min-kam (NHL Card Green Force) defeated Park Won-beom in straight sets 3:0 (15:9, 15:13, 15:3). Maminkam took a 2-0 lead in the third set and used two five-point shots to win 15:3 in six games to advance to the round of 64.

Eddie Repens (SK Rent-a-Car) swept Park Jung-min (A) in straight sets 3:0 (15:5, 15:2, 15:1) with a high run of 12 points, and Lee Sang-dae (Welcome Savings Bank Welbanc Phoenix) defeated Bang Jeong-gak 3:1 (12:15, 15:8, 15:3, 15:14) to cross the threshold to the Round of 128.

In addition to Chan Cha-pak’s (BlueOne Angels) victory over ‘Turkiye Senior’ Choklu (Hana Card Hanapay), Oh Sung-wook (NH Card), Kang Min-gu (BlueOne), Kim Byung-ho (Hana Card), Lim Sung-gyun (Hi-One) and Kim Hyun-seok (BlueOne) also made it to the Round of 64.

Meanwhile, fellow Welcome Savings Bank teammates Birole Wimaz (Welcome Savings Bank) and Seo Hyun-min lost to Yang Chul-min and Kwak Ji-hoon 1:3 to close out the first round of the tournament. Lee Young-hoon (Eswai Bazar) was also eliminated in the Round of 128 after losing to Yoon Seok-hyun.

The remaining matches of the PBA Round of 128 will be played in four sessions tomorrow (Nov. 6) from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
