João Felix and Atletico Madrid have rejected an offer from Oil Money.
Fabrizio Romano, a journalist familiar with the European transfer market, addressed the speculation on social media on Monday.
“Al Hilal made an offer for Felix on loan, but Atletico rejected it. They only want a full transfer.”
“Felix only wants to join Barcelona,” he added.
Felix left Benfica to join Atletico Madrid for a transfer fee of over 170 billion euros.
However, Felix seems to have fallen by the wayside. His underwhelming performances this season have pushed him down the list of Diego Simeone’s priorities.
It’s even been suggested that his relationship with Simeone has broken down. He even slammed his vest to the ground in frustration at his playing time.
Felix joined Chelsea on loan in January. However, he didn’t perform as well as expected and returned to Atletico.
Felix’s gloomy times have continued. He still has no place at Atletico.
That’s why Barcelona approached the club to sign him, seeing him as the right man to fill the void left by the departure of Ousmane Dembele.
Atletico coach Diego Simeone denied any interest in Felix, saying that “no player can be greater than the team”.
Felix was approached by Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal, a club that has failed to sign Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe but is keen on collecting superstars.
The Saudi league is a popular destination for superstars to finish their careers. The standard is better than ever and the paychecks are huge.
Al Nasr started by signing Cristiano Ronaldo. He capitalized on the superstar effect and opened the door for other players.토토사이트
More superstar signings have followed, with the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Leo Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Fabinho, Sadio Mane, and others forming a super-luxury squad.
However, Barcelona’s desire for Felix has been rejected. Atletico, who want to sell outright, have also said no.
